Creemos que el periódico escolar debe ser retomado para refundarlo como estrategia insustituible del docente que concibe su trabajo como una acción liberadora, creadora y profundamente ligada a la actitud transformadora e impulsora de todo educando crítico y consciente de los problemas de su entorno. Para ello debemos asumir el compromiso de presentar el periódico escolar como una actividad no extracurricular ni complementaria sino "como el eje central y motor del proceso educativo" (Huergo, José, 2001). De allí que el mismo debe ser utilizado para la formación lectora constante, para la indagación y el análisis, la producción de materiales que revelen el aprender interdisciplinario propiciado por la escuela, y lo más importante, como vía de expresión libre, consciente y responsable.
I think that do a newspaper in the school could be a good activity, becauso is a pedagogical tool that teachs you how to write, to organize and to explain yourself. A newspapers isn't only a lot of characters and words, the newspapers contains pictures, games and curiosities too,because of that, the kids without writing habits can do another things to participate in the newspaper (or magazine). I believe that doing a school newspaper it's a good way of motivating students. It helps them to developed creativity, imagination, writing... It also helps them to socialized with others, to exchange opinions, to share names of books, games, movies, songs they like... It's a way showing them that learning can fun.
I totally agree with all of you, because you can use the newspaper as an excuse to teach them and also to have a responsibility, but have fun while learning. I like it.
I think that is a good experience for children. When I was at Primary, at 3ºcycle I did a newspaper and it was fantastic activity, all of my classmates involucrated in the activity and we ended very good. Cristina Moneva
I think it´s a very good activity for children because they have an important routine like read the newspaper and in the same time they can work in groups and learn about the news of the world.
In my opinion the idea of a school newspaper is an opportunity of giving students a way to express, in addition to hold them accountable in terms of academic progress and be organized with their work. It would be a way to learn while you care for your studies, colleagues and study center in addition to find out some gossip.
I think can be a good idea, but, you can not do a newspaper just for amusement. I prefer to related the activitie with the aims of any subject or with any aim of this stage.
It could be a great idea to do a newspaper because this way will be a motivation of reading and leads a big resposavility by the writers. It have to be since children are young because this way they bring the custom since ever. The topics have to be topics they want to talk about (videogames, films, music...)to increase both the participation writing and reading. In my point of view, also it have to be an english area where the childs can write in english too. Howerver, frist of all, the teachers have to teach a minimun aspects about writing in a newspaper depending age.
I think that is more interesting create their own newspaper that read the school newspaper. Creating a newone they will learn how to do it, they will write what they are interested with and also they will develop their imagination.
I think that it is good that a school have it own newspaper so students can know whats going on in their school all the time. But I agree with Carla that it is more interesting making their own newspaper than just reading one. Writing a new one they can learn more things.
I’m totally agree with Sergio, the newspaper is a good activity to work with the children, in a lot of senses, the children learn: to express their opinion, to know how to react, to work in group… and they will found that the newspaper are not only a boring thing that the adults read with serious news , it’s also a thing that contains all kind of information.
In my opinion, I think it is a very good idea, because it's an opportunity trough pupils can express what they think at all times. Moreover, it could be an interesting way to meet other people; and all pupils, on this way, they can know all activities suggested by the school.
I agree with Sergio that a school newspaper is a plus educational benefits that children can take part in it and then they like to teach people what they have done.
