In the book "Dear teacher. Memories and anecdotes from a lifetime dedicated to teaching" Julia Resinas, reveals some of his experiences as a teacher, but also their view of education.
Her 39 years of experience as a teacher give her the authority necessary to argue that we must educate "children free, which means that they are educated to choose freely, but being consistent with their choices, aware of his actions, and critical of what around them. "
"If the eyes of all the teachers shine like Julia´s eyes shine when she speaks with her students, this would be another thing". These words have been written with love by a student of the author, these words are a part of a letter that she published in a newspaper, a farewell, after Julia´s retirement, her teacher.
A close and committed teacher with her work, she is not just a teacher, who has her memories in this book over her forty years of dedication to teaching.
A teacher who always worked with two major allies, respect and empathy, which helped her became a model for her students. A teacher that, from the optimism, she always knew how to wake up the best of her students, bringing back their particular skills and convincing them ot their own worth.
In "Dear teacher", her first book, Julia Resina show us that, to teach, we have to "find the key of each student, give them our confidence and make them share in our proyect. when a child realizes that doing an effort and working he gets the approval and affection of his teacher, the child can get everything. And what´s more important: the child will not do it by obligation, he will do it because he want and they fell be able to do it".
I think that Julia Resinas, is a model for students, for the rest of teachers and for future teachers, because, her way of motivating students, I think that is the best way. The respet and the empathy are two importants thigs that in my opinion all the teacher should take into account.
I think Julia Resina is the model of teacher we should all copy. From my point of view, there is no better teacher than one who you truly admire, that is, who that you really like how teach their students, but also knows how to behave and get along with his students. In summary, I believe that mutual respect and admiration between teacher and students is the key to the best development of a class.
I agree with noelia. I think that a good teacher doesn´t have to be a person who pass and calificate with good marks to the students. A good teacher has to support the students and advise them and help them in everything what could. When the teacher gains himself the respect of the class, then it is when the teacher gets all his aims of education.
