  3. The development of technologies in class.

Send a work or something about school by email, it’s growing little by little in education circles.
Now a days, the majority of the teachers are not qualify to the totaly
entrance of the technology in class, because many of them don’t know to take advantage of the technology. Other teachers are not agree because they have fear if something break down or simply to lost half of the time class turning on the computers. Even so, most of the teachers have trained in the use of technologies.

Although it’s seems to be rare to say: “turn on the computers” instead of open the books , or: “open a new page in word” instead of take a sheet of paper; this is a normal situation for some of the schools of Spain. From the last academic year
the el proyect “Escuela 2.0” of the government and autonomous region introduced new technological resources (mini computers portable for each student, digital blackboard e Internet) for all teachers and students of final primary school and the biginning of ESO.

Castilla y León, Baleares, Galicia, La Rioja and Murcia is providing to their centers the new technologies, however Madrid and Comunidad Valenciana are only the autonomos regions that don’t have added to this plan.

    ______
In my opinion, I think that insert the new technology in class is better to the students, for get ready the children in the future, and all the autonomos regions have to add to this plan.

What do you think about this? Is it better to introduce the new technologies in class? Or will it be worse? Will you introduce the new technologies?.

  5. I think this kind of changes needs time for adaptation. The better attitude is to be open-minded and welcome all changes as a benefit for education.

  6. I have mixed feelings about the project Escuela 2.0, but in general, I agree that education practices must adapt to fit our changing world. Incorporating new media into schools lets students take advantage of so many new ways to learn, and it was prepares them to live and work in the digital era. Also, I am highly in favor of the government investing in public education, because it is an investments that benefits our society as a whole.

Also, I think it is important to be aware of how politics can affect educational policy. In this case, the federal government (i.e. PSOE) proposed Escuela 2.0, but the governments of the "comunidades autónomas" are responsible for implemented the plan. The article mentioned that Castilla y León, Baleares, Galicia, La Rioja and Murcia were among the last to sign the plan, and Madrid and Valencia refuse to participate entirely. Coincidently, the PP currently governs (without coalition) in 8 "comunidades", and 6 of them are: Madrid, Valencia, Castilla y León, Galicia, La Rioja and Murcia...Regardless of whether you like the plan or not, I think it is important to recognize the direct role of politics in our schools.

  8. As I said in Lucia´s post, I think that in primary school should be better to work as always because they are going to spend their next five or ten years studing and surely using new technologies so, why shall we get those childs so early into the digital world?

  9. I think that each person need a time of adaptation with the new technologies. But finally it is the better for the education, teachers and students. And this is because nowadays the technologies are a part very important for the development of all type of jobs.

  10. I disagree with the idea that children send jobs, duties etc. by email because any problem with your computer or Internet cause the work was not sent. Although I agree with the new technologies in classrooms and the changes that these bring.

In my opinion, these changes will be very good for the future of students because the technologies are the future and thanks to many new resources such as interactive whiteboards classes will be more dynamic and fun.

On the other hand, teachers who can not receive course of adaptation to these technological changes are the grades affected, although as Lidia said deals are becoming more those who receive training to catch up with these new teaching methods.

Finally, I think all communities should be implemented and School 2.0.

  11. Well,in my opinion i think that tecnologies don't give us so much help, and sometimes it give us wrong information. On the other hand the books can seems old ,but for my there are more secure than the new tecnologies. For example if one day you can't use your internet or your computer, you couldn't to do anything, and the books "never fail".

  12. This is a quite complex topic, well, I think enough people have the idea of what is linked to gadgets: The laptops, ipods, mobile phone, are gadgets that are taking the place of textbooks and libraries, in a future, the next the followings generations will not apreciate reading as we do or did in back years.

The internet connectivity has brought in a revolution in the minds of even babies. Education has taken a significant examination and repair with technological advances being widely used in effective teaching. Teachers have had to undergo a seachange in updating their online skills so as to reach their students and its going to be difficult...because children learn so fast nowdays.

But in the other hand, is an excellent idea to include technology in schools apart that the children will be learning so quick all topics, they will also obtain the ability of tiping, searching on internet, drawing...all the tools that technology offer us. Is the future, and people who dont want to learn, will have troubles in life...

  13. From my point of view:
On the one hand,Sometimes, new tecnologies can get wrong information, for example internet is a medio through You can obtain it but You must have cared and selected all the information.

On the other hand, this information is current and it´s a good method that You can use at home, for example you can read the newspaper by internet. Finally,I think that old methods are more sure such as books, encyclopedias and so on

  14. This way of education, is better. Teachers and students can always keep in contact. And all students and teachers will know news technologies

  15. I agree that Internet has misplaced and incorrect information, but we must teach children is to know that information to find and select it. Be sufficiently aware of this and know how to exploit the technology and all the information that the Internet provides the most accurate and complete as possible.
It is true that all change costs and at first seems very difficult but I think we should go slowly building on everything that comes and go using it in the best possible way.

  16. I think to introduce new technologies in the class has a positive and a negative side.

The positive side is that children are adapted to technology from early years, and It is useful for their professional and personal future. It means a progress in education, a step forward.

The negative side is if we introduce technology from very early years, we shelve books, the it influences in their future too. New technologies give chewed information, books teach to chew their selves ; It is a fundamental part in the maturation process of the child. Also I want to highlight that to be hours and hours in front of a computer screen is not healthy for the eyes, it doesn't happen in front of a paper.

In conclusion, in my opinion the mix used of the new technology with traditional technology ( books, pen, and paper) is beneficial for children if teachers develop the lessons in the right way .

  17. As i said on the other post, new technologies have to be integrated in classrooms and so kids are prepared for the futur where the computers will have to be used in order to work and comunicate and so on.
I understand that teachers don't want to use them but we have to, little by little, integrated that. But i don't think is should replace the handwritting and the way to take notes. that, in my opinion has to be done by hand.

  18. Although we don't want, the new technologies will have more importance and they will be the protagonists os the education.

It's good to make this, but carefully, because we don't use the techologies suddenly, first we have to become accostumed.
