  1. SEND HOMEWORK BY EMAIL

A student completes a history work at home and sends it directly to the teacher’s email.

A program makes an automatic correction. The teacher enter in class and requests to his students to turn on the computer.

Since last year, the School 2.0. project of Government and communities puts in the hands of teachers and students of primary end and secondary beginnings new technological resources (laptops for each student, Internet and digital blackboards) that coexist with the old.

About 75.000 teachers were trained in the technological use in the 2009-2010 course.

The intention of the ministry is to continue with its implementation in the rest of the system.

Despite all new technology, the exams are done with pen, paper and old methodology.

On the one hand, this methods are good for students because is more pleasant for them. They can learn in a entertaining and fun form.

It also helps them for familiarize oneself with the new technologies, because in the future, this will be very useful.

Teachers will have less work to do, because they can get information in internet. They will have more free time.

On the other hand, this can result addictive for them, because they get used to technologies and then is more difficult to stop using.

Internet can be fail, and not everyone has internet.

This distracts you from the study, and the students get used to utilize the computer for make homework and then is more difficult to study with books.

In conclusion, send homework by email is a more pleasant form to make this, but not always should be use the Internet.

  2. I´m agree with your opinions Lucía. It´s true that this project will be a challenge for teachers to approach fully what Internet resoruces submit. But, in the other side, as you said, children can misuse this tools for distract and have fun.

  3. A program makes an automatic correction??? Well, i support the new technologies but i do really think it is too much, i mean, wouldn´t the theachers be monitoring the students homework? My point of view about it, is that new technologies should be used in primary just to get closer and in secondary to deepen this

  4. I'm agree with your different opinions Lucia, because this methodology is good for the incorporation of the new technologies at the school and is better for the teachers. But in the other hand, it can be used like a distraction with the use of internet and the different games that the students can find. In conclusion, with the new technologies we need to have care for have a good use of this tool.

  5. I disagree with a couple of points. First, I don't think that automatically correcting assignments (except maybe maths or physics problems) is acceptable or viable as a teaching method. Teachers must correct assignments in order to have some feedback about how each child is learning the material. Also, I don't agree with the statement that teachers will have more free time. In fact, I think they will have added work because the classroom materials become much more complicated and subject to problems. Teachers have to develop a good understanding of the devices that they are using and also plan alternatives for when these devices fail. In conclusion, I agree with incorporating technology in the classroom, but I don't think it makes a teacher's job any easier.

  6. To start with, I agree with the introduction of new technologies in the classroom because students will learn in a dynamic and fun way. It will also be a help for the future of children.

On the other hand I disagree that students send their homework by email, because if any of them have a problem with internet or simply don´t have it, he or she will not can send their homework.

In addiction I think that a program which makes an automatic correction is not a good idea because the teachers won´t know what are the problems that pupils have in their subjects, nevertheless teachers will not can help them.

  7. I believe that it is an enterteining and pleasant form that pupils take part in class.
We are accustomed to the books and even sometimes they manage to be bored but I believe that it can be for the vision that we have of the fact of going to class. We see it as something obligatory, and not as something that helps us to have knowledge on the contents that are explained to us.
In addition I believe that it is a new form that we all, both pupils and teachers learn to handle the computers and the technology.

  8. I dont agree with the corrections point...computers are machines and cant decide what is correct or what is not. Teachers will have to monitor it, but it seems a lot of work to do such a thing if you also need to do other thing is a waste of time.

Also, there is a lot of technological problems, work, essays...could be deleted from others or could be not saved and having a lot of errors producing the loss of the document. I hate that, It makes me feel mad.

There´s always a problem with computers or internet...we need to find a solution for it, in this case...to be patient for what it comes in the future. lolol

  10. On the one hand, I agree with the incorporating technology in the classroom(laptops, digital blackboards) since on this way, teacher will have a lot of possibilities for carrying out the classes,so children can learn quickly.
On the other hand,I desagree with children send their jobs through internet becouse these documents can lose it. I don´t think that the program with the automatically correction is a good idea becouse teacher won´t know really their children and their problems.

  11. On the one hand, I agree with the incorporation of technology in classroom. Firts of all, this will be better for student to familiarize themself to the future technology. Also this will be a fun way to study, to learn in a dynamic way.
On the other hand, I don't agree that a program makes an automatic correction because all programs can have mistakes. In my opinion the teachers will have to correct all activities because it's a better correction and, in this way, they will know all problems of their students.

  12. I've always elusive adopted new technologies in the classroom, but I agree with Lucia that can create an addiction on children and it is also important surface work in teams, to hand drawings, murals, sports ...
On the other hand I still think it's absolutely necessary that children correctly manege new technologies because they will be totally necessary in the future.
I don't agree that a computer correct the students' work, I think the teacher should do this work to determine the level of their students and what are their failures.

  13. Well,my opinion is the same that the others articles about the new technologies. I dont like the new technologies because these can fail and for me is more reliable to do everything in the paper.
On the other hand they(the new technologies) are good, because you can find information more easily.

  14. As I've said, i think it is important to bring the students the knowaledge of new technologies, that teachers has to use it as a tool for the subject but never ever replace the work of the teacher of correcting the exams (not every student is the same, they don't always express themselves as good as we do) and the work of the kids to take notes by hand, to analyse their mistakes when the teacher give back a work etc.

  15. I think its important to combine all methodologies, We have to take advantage of the new technologies, because we have the opportunity, but without leaving that it despersonalice our own work
