Yesterday, in the inauguration of the University course, King Juan Carlos reminded the importance of preparing young people to be able to make progress. Likewise he stated that it is important to know foreign languages and proposed the recognition of the talent and the creativity to encourage the enterprising spirit. Spanish Universities are called to play an important role to keep forward in a new economical model based on knowledge. Finally, he encouraged to stimulate in students the basic principles and values linked to effort, ethics, responsibilities and democratic coexistence. Also he reminded that in 2010 we celebrate a century since women had acceded into Spanish universities.
I agree with this news because people who are studding are the future of Spain. That's why is important to improve with the educational system and to prepare good teachers who encourage people to continue with their studies. It's pretty to see how women had obtain their paper in the labor world.Also it's good to see that people as important as the King Juan Carlos insisted on this aim because it's really necessary.
Of course I agree with the King's statements regarding the importance of preparing young people, etc., but I think that we need to look beyond the speeches and high ideals in order to evaluate the university system. Specifically, I am referring to government financing of public universities. In order to acheive goals such as improving foreign language competence or subsidizing talented young artists, the key factor is money. How much does the government invest in public education at the university level? This is something that we should have in mind when we vote for political representatives, because we are decided who makes the budget for education. Personally, I think that public education at all levels is absolutely essential to moving toward a more equal, just and peaceful society, so I intend to support politicians who view social services like public education as a high priority.
Obviously I agree with King Juan Carlos. I Think it is necesary to support the evolution and the development of young artists because, in my opinion, there are a lot of talented young artists that have no oportuniny to show their works (music, photography, drawing, even shorts stories)and it is sad people don´t know them. On the other hand I think that it will be a good idea if every so often this lost works are shown in a specific area of Madrid; places like museums or cultural centers. And of corse all whole idea won´t succeed if the media doesn´t speak about them on the news, newspaper or radio, because, I am sure that if the media do publicity and good critical with the aim of increasing the visits to these exhibitions, people would know and would learn about them.
It is so important to this task of teaching. In part, it depends on us what will happen in a few years with our country, children study and learn today, more or less average, of their teachers.
Is very pretty when universities do promotional events with the King, etc.
Also is easy speak,speak, speak, and for the king more but... Of course is important study and learn lenguages,it´s no necessary nobody saying this because for me the truth is other.
The universities has to help more to the student and make they ready for the real world.
The practicums is a good idea but the must to guide students.
In my opinion, you are right when you say that the king remind the importance to prepare to young people, because this boys and girls are the future of Spain and moreover they are the way to get out of this bad economy.
Of course I agree, because the next generation of students must have access to all available means to qualify for a better future, becouse children are the future. From my point of view the Spanish public education, there is a large lack of means and if we put that to the generation or not, here we have a big problem. Guys we are the new generation of teachers and we must motivate our students maximum from being lazy with no aspirations in life.
I am also agree. In my opinion the most imrpotant thing that the artcile talks is about the importance of knowing new languages. Finally I would like to say that university has to be the key of our future because it is the place where we can learn how to do good our job. We are going to be teachers so I think that the most important thing that university can show us is some values to teach our future students to be good persons with knowledge.
I totally agree with Alberto. Children are the future that's why we have to motivate them. We should care about them and try to find their aspirations in life.
I think like Leticia, the students are the future, so if we want a good one, we have improve the students ambient to make they feel good with their work of study. If a student fell well in their school, high school, university… environment, it’s easier that he or she, still working and make good progress, and finished been a good professional in the area that he or she prefers. Also the teacher have to be good, a no motivating teacher usually makes the student fell no comfortable with the activity of study.
I totally agree with the king. The future depends of the students and this suppost that the students should be motivate with the university or with his job. All this will favour the economy of Spain and all this project depends of our, the teachers that should teach well and the parents.
I totally agree with this article that the king believes in education and academic growth of young people. The youth are the future of our society and provide support that is essential, expositions, scholarships and all means at their disposal, prepare for the future including language skills, to be opened to different countries. In conclusion, go for education is the best idea.
